ISR provides its parents with a number of different resources so that they may fully understand our goals.

Upon registering your child to be a student with Infant Swimming Resource, you will be asked to complete some information regarding your child's medical history.

The National Registration is reviewed by a team of doctors and nurses who will then provide the instructor, with any additional protocols to provide for the safest possible lessons for your child. This information is also utilized in the continued research that ISR does in its continued quest to end childhood drownings. We believe that drowning is a preventable tragedy and are committed to playing our role in prevention and education.

The Parent Resource Guide is a manual available to parents of registered ISR students which provides detailed information on a variety of topics including:
  • Child Physiology and Safety
  • Emotions
  • Behaviorism: Theory of Learning
  • Interference with Lessons
  • Retention of Skills Learned
  • Ear Infections
  • Hyponatremia- Water Intoxication
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Family Aquatics Safety

Upon registration, each family will receive a copy of the Parent Resource Guide. It is required that all parents of ISR students read the guide.

We believe our parents are extremely well educated and in turn believe in providing them with as much information as possible. To register please follow instructions on our Registration page.

The BUDS sheet is one of our safety protocol to ensure the safest lessons possible. Parents are asked to monitor Bowel, Urine, Diet and Sleep. This provides a significant amount of information about the physiological functioning of the student so that she may adjust the current lesson accordingly. All parents will complete the poolside BUDS upon arrival at the facility. Students under 3 years old will also need to complete the full BUDS sheet, which includes more detailed information, for your child's safety.

A copy of the B.U.D.S. sheet should be attached to your child's registration confirmation from ISR National. If you need additional copies please contact your instructor.
